Georgetown Hospital Volunteer Association (GHVA)

The Georgetown Hospital Volunteer Association (GHVA) was originally formed in 1958 and re-established in 2006. The mission of the GHVA is to provide Service, Support and Fundraising for our Community Hospital.

The GHVA is a registered charity and has numerous fundraising initiatives, noted below. Funds raised are donated to the hospital and used to purchase new equipment.

The GHVA raises funds through

Charitable Donations–The GHVA accepts charitable donations, including in memoriam. Our local funeral home has donation cards for this purpose if you request one. Receipts will be issued for all donations and a letter to the family recognizing your contribution will be sent for a memoriam.

Poinsettia Sale–Poinsettias are offered for pre-order in November for delivery during the first week of December. Delivery to area businesses can be arranged.

Trinkets & Treats Gift Shop–Visitors and patients will find an excellent selection of giftware, cards, flowers, baby clothes, toiletries, candles, clothing and plush toys in the Gift Shop. Located by the main entrance.

Monday to Friday: 10:00am – 4:00pm
Saturday/Sunday: 11:00am – 3:00pm
*Hours are subject to volunteer availability.

HELPP Lottery–Break open tickets available for sale at Delrex Variety (Georgetown Marketplace)

Knitting–A very talented group of knitters keeps the Gift Shop stocked with beautiful hand knits including baby outfits, blankets, scarves and slippers. Donations of wool are welcome.

Raffles–Raffles are held at various times. Donations of raffle items are always welcome.
