Mark Walton, Vice President, Strategy, Partnerships and Performance

Mark Walton

Mark Walton was appointed Vice-President, Strategy, Partnerships and Performance in September 2014. In this role, he provides leadership on Strategy, Clinical Service Planning, Brand, Partnerships, Stakeholder Relations and Performance.  For the past 25 years, Mark has worked with and in the Canadian healthcare sector. Mark is best known for his passion and expertise in strategy and has lead strategic planning and deployment initiatives for a wide variety of industries and organizations across Canada

Before joining Halton Healthcare, Mark was the Founding Partner at Mark Walton & Associates. Prior to this, Mark was a Partner with KPMG's Canada’s Advisory Practice where he led the healthcare strategy services line. He also led the business consulting group of Philips Medical Systems Canada, a group focused on assisting hospital clients to more effectively assess, select and implement technologies in complex clinical environments. 

Mark has previously worked with the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (MOHLTC) and the University Health Network (UHN) where he focused on the development and assessment of clinical and operation performance metrics. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Western Ontario and a Masters of Health Services Administration (MHSA) from the University of Alberta.
